What is genetic engineering and genome and genotypes and haploids please help my finals are this week!

 

Genetic engineering is a field of study in which an organisms genes is manipulated through the use of biotechnology. Various experiments have been conducted, one example would be cloning and the saviour siblings.

Genome is the complete set of DNA, including all the genes.

Genotype is a term which refers to the genetic makeup of an organism. This is used in Mendelian Genetics if you happen to know about the Punnett Square.

Haploid refers to half the set of chromosomes. After meiosis II, the cells become haploid unlike in mitosis, where they are still diploids.
